FEATURES
Delivered new on May 29, 1972, by Charles Pozzi in Argento Auteuil over black leather, this superb Ferrari Daytona was first owned by Mr. Claude Béguin.
From the very beginning, the car has remained in France — always within the official network and cared for by knowledgeable collectors — a remarkable continuity that is worth underlining.
COMMENTS
In 2010, a complete restoration was commissioned by a Pozzi client and carried out in collaboration with the celebrated Ets Lecoq workshops.
During the process, the Daytona was even displayed at Rétromobile 2012 by Pozzi, exhibited as a bare chassis — a rare occasion to witness the rebirth of a legend.
The car was entirely restored by Ferrari Pozzi, stripped to bare metal, with every mechanical and cosmetic element rebuilt to factory standards.
The project was conducted under the supervision of Ferrari Classiche, culminating in full certification confirming the matching-numbers chassis, engine, and original specifications.
At the owner’s request, the car was refinished in the sophisticated Grigio Ferro, enhancing its elegant yet purposeful presence.
Following completion, the car was sold by Artcurial in 2016, and later acquired by its current owner in July 2024.
Since its restoration, it has covered less than 1,000 kilometres, preserving its pristine condition.
This Daytona retains its original tool kit, factory air conditioning, and features electric power steering along with wider 9-inch rear wheels, giving it a more assertive and sporting character on the road.
Accompanied by an extensive documentation file — including detailed invoices and a dedicated book chronicling the full history of chassis 15375 — this example represents an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a Daytona restored to concours standards, boasting a clear and continuous French provenance and an exceptionally elegant specification.
