Ex Franck Sytner ETCC car with detailed and documented history.
RA1-22 was built by Ted Grace for Franck Sytner starting end of ’82 for the first ETCC race in Silverstone on May 1st, driven by Sytner and Brian Muir,
1983&1984, the Sytner BMW ran most of BTCC & ETCC races successfully with five podiums.
Sold to in 1985 to John Morton, the car ran in the famous street race of the Wellington 500km taking second place in 1985 with the pair Sytner/Morton, continuing its career up to 1987 on national events with John Morton and Jim Richards.
Since 1990 the car has been restored to its original ’85 livery and took part to some BMW Festival meetings in New Zealand in the hands of enthousiast Dougal McGibbon
Back to Europe since June 2016, major service has been executed including a new ATL fuel cell, new brakes, head gasket, cooling system and a new Motec M84 management system.
